Back in January, Vimo was proud to be one of the sponsors for the National Association of Health Underwriters Capitol Conference in Washington DC. Alex M. Azar, Deputy Secretary of Health and Human Services gave one of the keynote speeches, Improving Access and Reducing Healthcare Costs. He mentioned that a critical piece of reducing costs and improving access would be giving consumers better, more accessible information and pricing. He went on to say that online healthcare portals will be an integral part of this.
I'm sad to say that we missed the speech because we wanted to stay at our table to handle any broker traffic, but we were flooded after the session with NAHU members saying that Alex Azar was talking about us in his speech about the future of CDHC. He didn't mention Vimo by name and might not know who we are (yet), but it was nice to know that some of the NAHU members made the connection.
We had a great dinner with the Las Vegas chapter of NAHU and even had Nevada's Congressman, Jon Porter at the table. We saw some old friends and made some new ones and had a great trip.
