He's in all the best doctor books, but must have been resting on his laurels for my breast cancer case. He left cancer in me, requiring 2 more operations, after chemo and radiation, when an MRI, I insisted upon, showed he had not removed a second lesion detected on a pre-surgical MRI, that he swore must have been a false positive since this second area removed showed no cancer. He kept insisting he removed this second lesion even though it was not needle localized. Standard of care dictates ( I now know) that if one is operating to remove a lesion, but nothing is found, a repeat scan is required afterwards to ensure the correct area was indeed removed. He advised me over and over again, after I expressed my fears that the second lesion could still be there, not to have a repeat MRI, but I finally insisted, and there it was, the same lesion. It did prove to be cancer and I was harmed both physically and emotionally by what I believe was negligence, malpractice, and patient abandonment.
