Frequently Asked Questions

How do PPO plans operate?

A preferred provider organization (PPO) is a type of managed care plan. It gives you a large list of pre-selected healthcare providers that have agreed to deliver services to you, the patient, at pre-negotiated rates. You will likely need to make a small co-payment every time you visit a doctor within the network. Most PPOs allow you to see doctors outside of the network if you pay a higher percentage of the bill.
