HSA Account Details

Highmark has been a player in Consumer Driven Health care since the May 2000 release of BlueChoice, a customized design approach to benefits management using the Internet. Since that time, we have added to our portfolio "BlueAccount HRA," a high-deductible health plan coupled with an employer-funded reimbursement account and, in 2004, "BlueAccount HSA," a qualified high-deductible health plan that gives members the option of opening a Health Savings Account that is integrated with their Highmark health plan.

Highmark currently offers qualified high deductible health plans for employers with 2+ employees. BlueAccount HSA integrates these qualified plans with HSAs established with our preferred financial partner.
